Many Ways to Help, Inc

Welcome to the website for Many Ways to Help, Inc., which is a Florida 501(c)(3) non-profit organization catering to veterans and adults with disabilities. Our mission is to assist those in need by providing housing, living essentials, meals, and transportation to between 10 and 15 individuals in our home. Living communally helps our clients create strong, healthy relationships and provide support for each other, which is critical to their long-term well-being. We also tutor and mentor juveniles and young adults to help them on their journey to a fulfilling adulthood.

Veterans have played a critical role in making the United States the great place it is today, but unfortunately many of them lack the resources needed to reintegrate into society and others have developed physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities during or since their time serving in the armed forces. Many Ways to Help serves veterans by ensuring our clients have a place to live and food on the table as well as a social network for support, which is critical for many veterans especially those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and other similar conditions.

Many adults with disabilities are also unable to meet their own needs, and that is where we come in to help. Regardless of the disability and the severity of it, we provide the resources needed to help adults with disabilities gain independence and get where they need to go. As a proud provider for the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities, our organization serves adults who have various disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual challenges, and Down syndrome (trisomy 21).

Helping Clients

Since we house between 10 and 15 individuals at a time, we differ from a larger group home because we offer more one-on-one interaction and, instead of being like an assisted living facility with 100 or more units, we are able to be more of a small community. Countless scientific studies have shown that social interaction and having close friends improves mental health, promotes a sense of belonging and safety, and even lowers the risk of dementia. By sharing meals and carrying out activities together, our clients truly feel at home.

Our in-home clients are allowed more freedom and flexibility throughout their days than they would have at a typical assisted living home. Having a less structured day helps our clients be more independent, which therefore boosts their confidence and self-value while also giving them a sense of accomplishment. Our hospitable home provides our clients with an alternative to an assisted living home where they would be continuously monitored and provided with set schedules.

Not only do we provide our clients with housing and food, but we also help them with other tasks like medication management and transportation to and from medical appointments. Our staff is dedicated to helping them fulfill daily chores and stay well. Our clients are given the peace of mind that they will be taken care of regardless of what their situation is. By providing a tight-knit living space for our clients, we are able to help them live excellent lives.

We are also involved in tutoring, training, and mentoring juveniles and young adults between the ages of 16 and 25 in the hopes that we can empower them to become as strong and successful as they want to. In many ways, the formative years as a young adult dictate various aspects of our adult lives so it is important to instill solid life knowledge and maturity during those years. Specific groups we train may include those with addictions, anxiety, and other disabilities.

Many Ways to Help is truly dedicated to supporting Floridians in need and helping young adults find their path in life. Keep browsing our website to find out more about us, what we offer, and how you can help us throughout our mission. Thank you so much for your support.
