ABOUT US

History

Formed in 2020, Many Ways to Help, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Reddick, Florida that serves veterans, adults with disabilities, and young adults in critical periods of their lives. The organization was inspired by an earlier venture that provided aid to veterans who were disadvantaged and/or addicted to drugs or alcohol, and the goal was to help them learn to be self-sufficient and successful. Over time, the dire need for assistance for disabled individuals and veterans nationwide has only increased and the middle Florida area is no exception.

The Florida Department of Veterans Affairs reports that around 2,500 veterans in the State of Florida were homeless in 2019. Many of these may be addicted to drugs or alcohol, and some may be disabled due to military experiences or other factors. Here at Many Ways to Help, we believe that regardless of their situations, veterans deserve assistance and a place to stay and receive help so that they can lead more fulfilling lives with the hope of eventually living independently again.

Story

The Florida Coalition to End Homelessness reported that in 2020, Florida homelessness was third in the nation for the most homeless individuals – at least 27,487 throughout the state, to be exact. From this population, almost 20% were reportedly battling a “chronic, disabling condition.” These could include substance abuse disorders, mental health issues, or physical, developmental, or intellectual disabilities ranging from mild to severe. These people, too, deserve a place to stay and a supportive environment

The leadership of Many Ways to Help knows what it is like to deal with a disability and understands the importance of community and in-house support. Even the mundane, “every day” tasks for many people can be hard for this demographic, which includes responsibilities like getting to and from medical appointments and ensuring correct medications are taken at the proper times. The staff at Many Ways to Help takes clients to and from their medical appointments and other health visits to ensure their well-being.
Many Ways to Help has a 10-bedroom building that can house between 10 and 15 individuals. The support system within the house is strong, as all meals are shared and the in-home clients are supportive of one another. Since getting out of our houses is critical to our health, twice a month, clients are also taken on field trips, which include things like outings to parks and special events in the area
We also provide special training to juveniles and adults between the ages of 16 and 25. While we provide educational tutoring, we also strive to instill life skills into these young adults that will help them in their futures. We can mentor individuals who have struggled with addictions as well as help those with intellectual disabilities and learning disorders. Our genuine desire is to help juveniles and young adults make productive life choices and open themselves up to new opportunities for their futures.
With the community’s help and support, Many Ways to Help can provide veterans, disabled adults, and young adults with the resources they are in need of. Our organization believes that all individuals have the right to have a productive, healthy, and happy life in a nurturing environment surrounded by positive people who can help one another achieve success. Helping Veterans

Since we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we partially rely on donations from people like you so that we can continue to aid veterans, disabled adults, and young adults. We strive to provide our clients with attentive, caring assistance that helps them get through life more easily. To do this, we provide them with housing, food, basic necessities, advice, and/or transportation. Of course, this requires funding, and any donations are helpful in ensuring we can carry out our goals.
