Transportation

Transportation Resources

Perhaps one of the most common reasons veterans and disabled adults miss scheduled medical appointments and support services is because of their inaccessibility to transportation resources. While the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs offers various programs geared towards providing transportation to veterans, these are oftentimes not easily accessible for all veterans in all areas and therefore it is up to organizations like ours to assist them in getting where they need to go.

Disabled adults face the same issue of transportation and do not always have the ability to get to their appointments and support services, regardless if their disability is physical or intellectual. Our organization understands that disabled adults oftentimes have trouble finding affordable, accessible transportation and subsequently have to cancel and miss crucial appointments.

How Do We Help

So, how do we help? Many Ways to Help has a passenger van that seats over 10 people, and our staff takes our clients to and from their necessary appointments. We also provide disabled adults with transportation in Alachua, Citrus, and Marion counties, Florida. Our staff provides compassion and respect to all of our riders and follows the strictest safety standards. The van is handicap accessible and we are dedicated to ensuring veterans and adults with disabilities get where they need to go safely and on time.

We are committed to our passengers and have dedicated efforts to optimizing productivity and scheduling so that we can ensure riders receive the transportation services they deserve. Our van is cleaned regularly to bolster the safety of our passengers, and our staff has the required licensing needed to shuttle our passengers around efficiently.

Many Ways to Help knows how vital medical care is for veterans and adults with disabilities, and we know that many individuals receiving care have incurred traumatic wounds or severe limitations. Therefore, we make sure our van is as comfortable and safe as possible for our passengers. We also enjoy getting to know the people we transport, as we believe surrounding ourselves with positive, friendly people undoubtedly aids in recoveries.

If you are in Alachua, Citrus, or Marion counties and think we may be able to assist you with transportation to important appointments and consultations, do not hesitate to reach out. We will work with you to arrange a schedule and get you and your loved ones where you need to be.

Helping Veterans

Since we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we partially rely on donations from people like you so that we can continue to aid veterans, disabled adults, and young adults. We strive to provide our clients with attentive, caring assistance that helps them get through life more easily. To do this, we provide them with housing, food, basic necessities, advice, and/or transportation. Of course, this requires funding, and any donations are helpful in ensuring we can carry out our goals.
